Peter Singer is an Australian moral philosopher, best known for his work in bioethics and effective altruism. This talk was arranged for a College of Humanities and Sciences (CHS) cross-disciplinary module on effective altruism, jointly taught by the philosophy and economics department.
Peter Singer is one of the most influential and well-known living philosophers of our time, so I was surprised when the philosophy department approached me for a poster to advertise his talk.
As a sophomore in university, I’m lacking in experience with commissions, so this project helped inform me of the process and how to communicate about the deliverables.
Rejected drafts.
I personally liked some of the other fonts which made the poster more fun, but in the end I settled on just 2 for the whole piece, to make it cleaner and easier to read.
